Open-Source Licences

Last updated: 13 July 2026

CutOvia is built on open-source software. Those components remain under their own licences, and nothing in our Terms restricts the rights they give you.

FFmpeg — GNU GPL v3 and your right to the source

CutOvia bundles an FFmpeg build licensed under the GNU General Public License v3 (built with --enable-gpl --enable-version3, including libx264 and libx265). CutOvia runs FFmpeg as a separate program; it is not linked into our code. Under the GPL you are entitled to the complete corresponding source code of the exact FFmpeg build we ship. You can download it below, or email us and we will send it to you — this offer is valid for at least three years. Nothing in our Terms or EULA restricts your GPL rights in FFmpeg.
